He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Everyone is susceptible to weariness. The prophet Isaiah declares that the God of heaven does not grow tired or weary. But He is able to give strength to the weary and is able to increase the power of the weak. The key is found in those who will wait on the Lord for that strength.
Waiting on the Lord means to humble ourselves before God in prayer and ask Him to fill us with His Spirit. Waiting on the Lord means to come to His Word and allow for His life-giving words to wash over us and transform our thinking. Waiting on the Lord means to take the time to listen to Him in prayer and allow for Him to speak into our hearts His direction and marching orders for each day. Waiting on the Lord involves repenting of our sin and allowing God to renew our minds and our hearts. When we are faithful to wait on Him, He will be faithful to renew our strength and empower us to live each day with the anointing of His Spirit.

These words call me to a new level of waiting on Him for all that I need to meet the challenges of each day. I need to have the mind of Christ in so many decisions that I make each day. I need the empowering work of His Spirit to guide me and strengthen me to do the right thing each day.
I know that as I wait on Him, there will be a new dimension of power and anointing that will flow through my life so that I’m effective for Him in counseling, speaking for Him and teaching His Word. I set my heart to wait on Him in these days; to wait on Him morning, noon and night. A prayerless life is a powerless life. I want to have a fruitful and powerful impact on the lives of many for God and His kingdom. |

Father God, thank You for the gift of your Holy Spirit that renews my life and strength each day. Lord Jesus, come fill me with your Spirit so that I may be empowered and renewed to carry out your will for my life. Help me to recognize those times when you call me to prayer and waiting on you. Thank You waking me up very early this morning and for giving me the strength to get up and read your word and pray. Help me to go through each day with an attitude of waiting on You for wisdom, direction and supernatural power. You want to bring healing and deliverance through my prayers and life. I set my heart to be a vessel of your power that can reach many for You and bring salvation, healing and reconciliation to many.
