So Jotham became mighty because he ordered his ways before the LORD his God.

God blessed Jotham with effective power and authority in his leadership because he honored the Lord in all the decisions he made. To order his ways before the Lord meant that Jotham was obedient to the Lord in purging from his life all that was vain and useless, and embracing the ways of God in all areas of his life.

God can help us bring order to our lives in our most important relationships and the wise use of our time and money. When we order our lives according to the ways of God, He empowers us with authority and effectiveness that enables us to accomplish His eternal purposes in our lives.

I want to tap into the might and power of the Lord in my life so that I can be effective as a pastor, husband, father, mentor and friend of unbelievers. God is helping me to use my time more wisely and to order my ways according to His heart and values.

Father God, help me this day to order my ways according to your heart. Lord Jesus, thank You for your grace and patience with me as I seek to do your will in all things. Come fill me with your Holy Spirit so that I may discern the difference between what is only good for my life and what is best in each situation. I set my heart to please you in all things and to walk in the powerful anointing You have made available to me and to everyone who orders his or her ways before the Lord.
