While he was saying this, a ruler came and knelt before him and said, "My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live." Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.
Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed."
Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.

This woman’s faith activated the healing power in Jesus Christ. God is always predisposed to bring healing to our lives, both physically and spiritually. Jesus says to the woman, ‘your faith has healed you.’ We don’t know why some people get healed and others don’t, but that shouldn’t keep us from coming to Jesus and expressing our faith in Him and seeking Him.
There’s a lesson here to always contend for healing when people are sick and need a miracle from God. But it is also an opportunity to realize that Jesus wants to touch everyone of us every day, if we’ll just reach out to touch Him and express our expectant faith in His work in us. God is very interested in touching you with His likeness, His love, His Spirit and His wisdom. He has made available to us all that we need for life the way He originally intended. But we need to reach out and touch Him so that we can touched by His glory and His life. |

These words challenge me to be a person who actively exercises my faith by constantly coming to Jesus every day and believing He will deposit some very important things in me that will equip me and prepare me to be effective for Him in all things.
To effectively fulfill my responsibilities as a loving husband, caring father and compassionate pastor, I need the touch of Jesus Christ on my life every day. I am called to keep coming to Him and allow Him to touch me with His Spirit, His love, His grace and His wisdom.

Father God, thank You for always being there to touch me with your power and your love. Come Lord Jesus and fill me your Holy Spirit that I may be a person of faith and power. I set my heart to seek You and reach out to You each day so that I am touched with your love and your wisdom. Help me to receive the wealth and riches of your grace and wisdom. Change my heart O God and touch me in ways that will empower me to touch others with your grace.
