Presently we have helped start 30 churches in Romania and we have birthed a Foursquare Church just 6 miles north of us in the West Seattle Junction called Journey of Faith.
We are also meeting every Monday evening for prayer in the Westside Sanctuary and then for another 45 minutes in the Fireside Room for relationship building and strategizing for the future. Here are some of our core values as it relates to Leadership Development:
1) We Believe that every believer should commit to a lifestyle of discipleship and consistent spiritual growth with honest accountability. A growing love for God is always a high priority. Every Christian should yearn for continual spiritual growth. Therefore, discipleship through small groups, accountability, and open honesty is crucial to maturing in our faith. (Mk. 12: 29-31; Acts 2: 44-47, I Pet. 2: 2, Prov. 27: 17, I Tim. 4: 7-8)
2) We are committed to helping every believer at Westside Foursquare Church discover, develop and deploy his/her ministry gifts. We are a gift-based, volunteer-driven church. Every believer will find his greatest joy and fulfillment when serving in his gifts and passion. Every believer is created for ministry, gifted for ministry, empowered for ministry, and needed for ministry. (Mk. 10: 45; Eph. 2: 10; Ro. 12:1; 1 Cor. 12: 14-20)
3) We Believe building ministry teams helps accomplish God’s design for discipleship and evangelism. A Spirit-empowered serving with the willing hearted involvement of every person is vital to God’s plan being accomplished. (Eccl. 4: 9-12; Ps. 133:1; Eph. 4:11-16; 1 Pet. 2: 4-9)
4) We believe in identifying and training emerging leaders who are fully committed to Christ and who will reach their generation with the Gospel. This means we are committed to church multiplication through the birthing of new churches through Westside Foursquare Church. God is raising up men and women who will take the baton of godly character, authentic faith, and servant-hearted leadership into the next generation.
